Jiafu An, CFA, studies topics at the intersection of development economics and corporate finance, and political behaviors following traumatic events, mostly in developing countries. His recent research examines:

  • The impact of epidemic disease on financial development in Africa;

  • The effects of biased gender norms on the functioning of financial markets around the world;

  • The economic, psychological, and political impact of terrorism.
